Nine to five
By day, I am a Business Analyst at a financial services firm.  I think I really, really enjoy business and systems analysis. This is a great gift.

My other life

I started a software consultancy in 2002 called Autumn Leaf. It eventually became quite a prominent IBM Business Partner in South Africa. I gave away 50% of the shares in 2005 to Franco van Vuuren, who is probably the best business partner anyone can ever wish for.

Autumn Leaf specialises in bespoke Lotus Notes/Domino development and also do the odd Websphere Portal project. In 2006 they finally kickstarted Domino and Lotus Notes training in Cape Town again. I have a lot of good memories of the years at Autumn Leaf - they are all over my blog posts.

At this point, Franco is running the company and I am only involved in strategy and keeping the passion of this awesome little business burning high. Why did I leave? The short reason is that I make a better Business Analyst than Account Manager. The long reason is also in the blog entries somewhere.

Autumn Leaf’s blog is at http://www.autumnleaf.it.
