Everything is fine :) . And, as proof, some piccies at the bottom. Arthur went completely out of his skull when Chelsey arrived back home and I had to hold him quite tight to say hello (he would have trampled all over her stitches if he had a chance). Then they both got a new nibble to chew on, which produced tons of issues as Chelsey quickly realised she can't chase after Arthur if he steals her snack (like he always does, it's a big game). So she gave him a growl and a bark, at which stage I decided it's better that he stays outside the room for now. Then five minutes later they were both crying and I let him back in. But all is fine now, Arthur is chewing her ear gently and she's trying to take a nap, and I'm keeping the peace.

I am going to update the diary with the reasons why there was a second operation yesterday, but the short of it is that she actually did not have a round ligament in place. The round ligament (cough cough) anchors the head of the femur into the socket. The femur is that long leg bone that is connected to your hip bone. So, dude, if it's not there, yes, the ball will just fall out of its socket under the right movement, even if you tilted the hip. Now she has another metal plate securing something to something inside her, with a nylon band holding it all together (so a bit like she's wearing Bridget Jones panties) and all is firm and wonderful. I believe there are medical terms for all this, but my vet is emailing me the x-rays sometime and you can see for yourself then.

And both dogs fell fast asleep by my feet in the time I typed this up. Life is good.
